Local Newspapers and Media
As the UK's second city, Birmingham is home to the region's television companies. It also has its own radio stations and local newspapers.
The city's local newspaper is the Birmingham Mail. Also printed in the city is the Birmingham Post, the weekly business tabloid. Offices for both are in Great Western Arcade, Colmore Row in the city centre.
Radio stations for Birmingham include BBC WM who are located in The Mailbox, Heart, Capital FM (formerly Choice FM) and Free Radio Birmingham (formerly BRMB), all of which are located in Brindleyplace off Broad Street, and local student and community station Scratch Radio.
Television companies in Birmingham are BBC Midlands who are located in The Mailbox and ITV Central who are located on Gas Street, just off Broad Street. Sadly, since the days of ATV, the majority of ITV productions have moved away from the Midlands region.
