A City Heritage Trail from Birmingham Civic Society. Featuring both a city centre and an out of town trail, and visits many of the places in the Society’s one hundred years’ history. You can pick up a copy from many places in Birmingham or download it from the website.
The City Heritage Route covers the Oozells Street and Icknield Port loops of the original James Brindley Canal, a section of the Telford Main Line and the area around the Birmingham Arena and the International Convention Centre.
Away 2 Canal offers public and charter canal trips out into the country from Birmingham city centre. A fully heated public canal narrowboat with a catering facility including a bar and toilets.
The Broad Street Walk of Stars honours those people who have made a significant contribution in the categories of music, television, film, radio, theatre, sport, business and literacy. Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, comedy genius Jasper Carrott and motorsport commentator Murray Walker all feature.
