Thermae Bath Spa has involved the restoration of five historic buildings and the creation of one new building of contemporary architecture. Alongside the New Royal Bath, the Hot Bath, the Cross Bath and the Hetling Pump Room combine modern facilities with a tradition of well-being which dates back over 2,000 years.

Established in 1865, Bath Rugby is one of the oldest and most prestigious rugby clubs in the world. Throughout the 80s and 90s, Bath were a formidable force and silverware was a familiar sight in the Recreation Ground trophy cabinet at the end of each season.

Bath Sports and Leisure Centre is located on the River Avon just east of the main shopping centre. Featuring a 25m pool, large fitness gym and over 60 exercise classes it is open to locals and visitors too.

The Cleveland Pools, England’s oldest lido dating back over 200 years and a one time summer favourite for generations of Bathonians, is set to open once again in 2021.

Founded in 1859, Bath Cricket Club is now a leading community cricket club which has been designated a focus club by the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to be a hub of the community network for cricket development, particularly for the benefit of children and young people.

Racing at Bath dates back to the 18th century and this thoroughbred horse racing venue is located on Lansdown Hill, north of the city. The season runs from April to October and as well as horse racing there are many other popular events.

Bath City Football Club is an English football club and plays in the National League, South, the sixth tier of English football. Formed in 1889 as Bath AFC, Bath City's history is entirely in non-league football.
