Saturday nights draw thousands to the city's bars and clubs, in the Southside and Broad Street areas. There's also a wide selection of restaurants, in popular areas like the Bullring or Chinatown in the city centre, the Mailbox and Brindleyplace in Westside or travel up to the Jewellery Quarter for some of the city's best. Finally, why not take in a show at the Hippodrome or see a concert at the Symphony Hall or the Barclaycard Arena.

Theatres, concerts and cinemas

Birmingham has several large venues which draw visitors form far and wide. The Barclaycard Arena and Genting Arena host major gigs and concerts whilst the Hippodrome attracts large scale touring shows. Of note is the Town Hall, a Grade I Music Hall from 1834.

Birmingham Restaurants

Birmingham has a wide selection of restaurants, with many national chains moving into the city. There are though plenty of great independent restaurants too, especially in the Colmore Row area. Popular dining areas are Brindleyplace with its outdoor seating, around Colmore Row and the Mailbox with its modern food court overlooking the canal.

The city centre is full of well known restaurants, bars and pubs. Check out Chinatown and the Arcadian Centre in Southside, or Bullring with its outdoor seating, or Colmore Row area for the very best independents.

Brindleyplace, Birmingham

Westside

Westside is Birmingham's leisure destination. Whilst Broad Street features mainly bars and clubs, Brindleyplace next to the Birmingham Canal has a wide choice of restaurants whilst the Mailbox features mainly chain restaurants.

Popular bars and restaurants can be found around St Paul's Square in the Jewellery Quarter or check out the Custard Factory and Rainbow Venues in Digbeth for an alternative night out to Broad Street.

Birmingham Pubs, Bars and Clubs

Saturday night is Birmingham's biggest night out and thousands from the surrounding area as well as a myriad of stag and hen parties descend on the city. The busiest bars and clubs can be found west of the city centre on Broad Street, whilst the Arcadian centre in Southside is a popular alternative.

Though not as popular as Broad Street, Southside is the hub of Nightlife in the city centre. From the Arcadian centre on Hurst Street to more bars on Suffolk Street.

The hub of Birmingham's Nightlife is Broad Street and this is where the busiest bars and clubs can be found.
