Saturday nights draw thousands to the city's bars and clubs, in the Southside and Broad Street areas. There's also a wide selection of restaurants, in popular areas like the Bullring or Chinatown in the city centre, the Mailbox and Brindleyplace in Westside or travel up to the Jewellery Quarter for some of the city's best. Finally, why not take in a show at the Hippodrome or see a concert at the Symphony Hall or the Barclaycard Arena.
Birmingham has a wide selection of restaurants, with many national chains moving into the city. There are though plenty of great independent restaurants too, especially in the Colmore Row area. Popular dining areas are Brindleyplace with its outdoor seating, around Colmore Row and the Mailbox with its modern food court overlooking the canal.
Saturday night is Birmingham's biggest night out and thousands from the surrounding area as well as a myriad of stag and hen parties descend on the city. The busiest bars and clubs can be found west of the city centre on Broad Street, whilst the Arcadian centre in Southside is a popular alternative.
