Can you answer questions or send out information about the cities you feature?
Unfortunately we don't have the resources to respond to individual visitor questions about the cities we feature. Please direct your questions to the Tourist Information Centre, details of which can be found in the Day Out section of the relevant city.
Will you list my event?
Whilst suggestions are welcome, we only have the resources to list major events that attract several thousand visitors for free. We are unable to respond to free event listing requests unless we are able to include them on our website.
If you would like a paid for events listing, please visit our Advertising section. In the future we hope to include a local events diary which members will be able to contribute to.
How does your rating system work?
The rating of a business is usually a very subjective matter. The service you get on one day by one particular member of staff can be completely different to someone else on a different day. We want to be as objective as possible and take an overall view of the business.
We are looking at value for money, the quality of what the business is offering, how the business treats their customers, repeated reports of the same problem at a business and how a business deals with complaints. Scores are based on either our own experiences, the views of our partners who work in that particular industry, scores from independent sites that we link to, members feedback through the comments section or an average of several web based scores including Google.
If you think our rating is too low or too high we'd love for you to let us know. Tell us your views, what score you think the business should have and a link to one, preferably more, independent web reviews of the business that justifies this.

Can I submit an article or photo gallery to your site?
From nightlife articles to gallery submissions, we welcome member contributions that are of the highest standards. More details can be found in our Take Part section.
Can we use the photographs on your site on our own website or publication?
All images have copyright restrictions and cannot be used without permission or a licence from the respective owners. We can licence photographs that we own for use on your website or publication but a charge will be payable. Please contact us below for more details.
Can we use the old postcards that you feature on your site?
We have several thousand postcards in our community collection and 95% of the postcards on our website come from this, the other 5% are scans from contributors. If you are a business or organistion wishing to use the postcards in our collection, this can be arranged but a charge
Many cards in our postcard collection are over 100 years old. Copyright is generally acknowledged to be expired (or now rests with the owner of the card). We don't charge a usage fee as such, but normally charge a small fee of £25 to go towards covering staff time/costs for fulfilling any requirements - this can really mount up with the numerous requests we receive. We can sometimes waive this fee if the use is for a television programme/community exhibition/gallery display for a credit to "Key to the City Guides". Please contact us below for more details.
We would like to provide a service to you or sell you a product.
Currently we have allocated all of our department budgets for the next year. Any questions of this nature will be held on file but we will be unable to respond until next year.
There's a mistake on our business listing.
We would appreciate it if you could let us know so that we can correct it. Although we try to keep all our listings up to date, we realise that information changes from time to time and businesses close. We aim to rectify any errors as soon as possible and within seven days.
If we are unable to correct the error within this time then the listing will be suspended from our websites until we are able to do so. If neither has happened within seven days we would be grateful if you could contact us again pointing this out as your initial request might have gone astray in the web somewhere.
Can you send me a Key to the City™ map?
We are unable to mail out individual copies of the Key to the City™ maps. In the cities where we produce them, they will be available from the main tourist attractions and popular hotels.
I can't log into my user account.
Our member system is automated and case sensitive. Make sure that you are not using capital instead of lowercase letters, or vice versa. If you still cannot log in, please just create a new account as we are unable to send out individual members details.
Although we read all of your questions, unfortunately we are only able to reply if we can help with your enquiry. If it is to correct an error or to add information to a listing, then we will try to do this within seven days but we will be unable to notify you of this.
Please check the listing after a week and we would be grateful if you can notify us again if for some reason the error has not been rectified. Thank you for your interest in our websites.
