These sunken, secluded cemetary gardens are a little oasis of peace alongside Liverpool's magnificent Anglican Cathedral. Grade I listed by English Heritage, the garden is an ideal place to relax and take in the beauty of the historical architecture which surrounds it.
The park was formerly a cemetery, and a stone path lined with recycled grave stones descends through a short tunnel on entrance to the garden, between the Oratory and the main entrance of the cathedral. Other features include the Stone arch between the Garden Lodge and the steps up to the Mount, Huskinsson memorial, a natural spring and a system of broad ramps lined with catacombs.

Advance booking is not required.
Located south east of the city centre on the corner of Upper Duke Street and Hope Street. The main entrance to the garden is off Upper Duke Street with a southern entrance off Upper Parliament Street.
