The North West Museum of Road Transport houses a large collection of historic road transport vehicles including buses, cars, lorries and motorbikes. The Museum opened to the public in 1991 in the former St Helens Corporation Transport bus depot.
It can trace its roots back forty years, when a group of enthusiasts from the St Helens area got together to raise funds to preserve an ex St Helens trolleybus which was still running in Bradford.
No easily accessible wifi. No smoking.
Open 11am-3pm Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday Mondays (Closed in January - please check the website for any late changes).
Advance booking is not required.
Located east of Liverpool in St Helens, on the corner of Hall Street and Parade Street.
St Helens Central railway station: Five minutes walk.
Parking available nearby - payment required.
