It also includes water features, a range of planting, grassed and hard landscaped areas suitable for many activities and events as well as a Science Garden funded by and in association with the museum. There is a cafe/kiosk open daily serving snacks and refreshments. There are plenty of outdoor seating areas and picnic sites.
There are no public toilets on site, however toilets are available at Millennium Point.
Work began on the park in August 2011, adding 6.75 acres of green space to the city centre, extending Park Street Gardens and taking in the former car park in front of Millennium Point.
