Tate Liverpool is the most popular gallery of modern and contemporary art outside London. It is the home of the National Collection of Modern Art in the North and is a colourful, creative and truly inspirational gallery.

The gallery combines four floors of in one of Albert Dock’s bright, former warehouses (take note of the spectacular views across the Mersey on the top floor – they’re a real hidden gem). Work on display is provided from both the Tate collection, and special exhibitions, which bring together painting, photography, sculpture and installations from national and international assemblages.

There are some real treats to be found at Tate Liverpool, as the artwork on display marks both public and private collections. It’s also the base for a range of tours, talks, workshops and activities, tying in with both current exhibitions and wider artistic themes.
