The Dudley Canal Trust helps you explore this historic part of the 'Black Country'. Experience over 420 million years of history in a 45 minute tour. Marvel at the impressive limestone caverns carved by man to gain access to the raw materials that changed our world forever.

See the amazing lifelike reconstructions in Hurst Cavern - with mannequins depicting how miners worked in the tunnels during the 18th century. Delight in the incredible music and light show in the Singing Cavern. Discover the traditional art of 'legging' in the tunnels.

Summer: 10am-4pm daily; Winter: 10am-3pm Wednesday to Sunday (please check the website for any late changes).
Adult £8.50, Child £6.85, Senior £8, Family £27. Prices are for a 45 minutes tour. Longer tours are available on selected dates only.

Location:

Located west of Birmingham in Dudley, close to the junction of Birmingham New Road and Tipton Road. The main entrance is opposite Castle Road.

Getting There:

National Rail Tipton railway station: 30 minutes walk.
Bus Regular bus services to and from Birmingham city centre operate to Dudley town centre. Alight at Trindle Road which is a 15 minutes walk away.

Limited onsite parking available - payment required.
